Danny Coyle
Danny has lived in China since 2001. Starting as Project Manager with an interior design and architecture company, he later became General Manager. He and Jill started Imports Oriental in 2004.
Danny is a Director at Imports Oriental, overseeing Sales, Marketing, and Customer Relations. Danny also serves the Beijing area as a Board Member for Bethel Foster Homes and as the leader of BICF NeXt.
Danny graduated with honors from Georgia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering. He participated in Georgia Tech’s international co-op program and worked for 4 quarters in Hong Kong on the Chek Lap Kok Airport. Danny first studied Mandarin in middle school and high school at Hong Kong International School.
Jill Coyle
Jill has lived in China since 2001. After working several years with an NGO, she and Danny started Imports Oriental in 2004. Previously, Jill worked for an award-winning author, a youth program, and a trading company. She has also consulted on several now-successful start-ups.
A wife, mother, and church-leader, Jill works as a Director at Imports Oriental, overseeing Strategy, Finances, and New Business Development. She also participates on the Sales and Marketing team. A strong believer in giving back to China, Jill continues to volunteer at many charities in the Beijing area—teaching, fundraising, or consulting.
Jill graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a degree in English Language, Literature, and Creative Writing. She studied Mandarin in high school in Hong Kong and later at Taiyuan University in Shanxi Province (1997-98).
Tanya Crossman
Tanya has lived in China since 2004 and has worked for Imports Oriental since 2008. She oversees Administration and HR and contributes to the Sales and Marketing team. She has also traveled to visit partner factories in person.
Tanya graduated from the Australian National University with a major in Chinese. She also studied at the Beijing Language and Culture University. She reads, writes and speaks Mandarin Chinese proficiently.
